Mehdi AmirKafi

Abstract Driving violations amongst motorcycle riders is one of the main problems in traffic. According to studies, the motorcycle riders’ unsafe driving practices have an important role in traffic accidents. Given the theory of planned behavior and normative perspective, this article investigates some of the attitudinal and social factors affecting the motorcyclists’ traffic violations. In this survey, with the use of multistage cluster sampling method, a sample including 473 motorcyclists, above 18 years old, were chosen and interviewed. Findings reveal that variables of attitude, subjective norm and perceived behavioral control have significant effects on intentions of the motorcycle riders for traffic violations. The impacts of a behavioral intention, procedural justice and feeling of obligation to obey law on traffic violations, is also significant. In sum, the results of multiple regression analysis indicate that the variables of a behavioral intention and the perceived behavioral control related to theory of planned behavior, and variables of procedural justice and feelings of obligation to obey traffic law related to normative perspective, explain 35 percent of the variance in driving violations of the motorcyclists.

Abstract The question of identity is one of the oldest questions facing human beings and today it is a challenging question about human existence. The question is problematic since the rapid contemporary social and cultural changes have obliterated traditional resources of identity construction and assigned the task of identity constructing to the individuals .These changes along with individual growth and the increasing importance of individualization have turned the services and goods consumption to one of the most significant tools of identity construction. Our main purpose is to examine the relationship between consumption patterns and individual identity. After reviewing identity and consumption literature, the research theoretical frame has been made based on post modern theorists view, especially the theory of Gladdens. The concepts and variables have been defined according to the theoretical frame. To conduct the surveys, a questionnaire and cluster sampling method were used-the population was Kemani youths. The findings show that tendency to high consumption in visual fields such as clothing and make up, in comparison to cultural consumption is more prominent among youths. While modern identity is more common among men, the women have more traditional identity. Moreover, the relationship between paying attention to consumer behavior and modern identity is significant.

Abstract A school, in Sociology, is defined as a social space in which the power is distributed unequally and the students, in comparison to the education system and teachers have the lowest level of power. Consequently, some of the students drop out of school, some of them do not do well in the school, and may not be eager to attend school and become violent. The three factors that affect children attendance are: hearing their voices, empowering them and their participation. To achieve these three, employing the participatory action research is suggested. Applying it as a "look, think and act" strategy, makes them to be heard and increase their power and participation. In this article, the experience of using the mentioned educational method in Moshtagh Child-friendly Educational Center is reported. The center was founded 8 years ago by the child friendly association of Kerman. Results show that in order to provide an effective place for students in a school, participatory action research is so important. But, to continue practicing this method actively, participation of the teachers is needed as well. Therefore, the teachers must be active in managing schools and their voice must be heard continuously.
