About the Journal
Iranian Journal of Social Studies is a journal that is published with the official license of the Iranian Sociological Association as a "scientific journal" (newly approved by the Ministry of Science).
The main sponsors of this journal are mainly members of the Iranian Sociological Association, who have collaborated both in forming the association and in sending article to the journal office for publication. The members of the editorial board and the managing director, who is the elected president of the Iranian Sociological Association, are also regular members of the association. However, the Iranian Journal of Social Studies welcomes receiving articles from authors outside the official domain of the Association, provided that it is consistent with the journal's policy and sociological problems and realities (theoretically and / or empirically).
Until now, submitting articles by respected authors has been done by sending three typed copies along with a compact disc (CD) containing the article, but from now on, the first step to submit an article is to register in the website of Iranian Journal of Social Studies then submitted article is sent electronically to the journal office through this network with the help of the authors' guidebooks.

Steps to request a special Issue in the Iranian Journal of Social Studies
- Submitting an initial request for the publication of a regional / thematic special issue by the university / specialized group / provincial office and the cost of publishing the journal.
- Proposing a request to the board of directors and agreeing in principle with it.
- Announcing the consent to the applicant and requesting details, including announcing the place of financing the publication of the journal for final approval.
- Formation of special scientific advisors, special letter: At least 5 assistant professors with scientific-research articles
- Announcing a call to receive articles by the Partner Center
- Receiving the articles by the partner center and their initial review by the guest scientific advisors (editorial board) to determine the articles that have the minimum requirements to send to the reviewers.
- Appointing 3 reviewer for each article by the editorial board of the journal and the editors. The reviewers must have expertise in the subject of the article and be composed of different universities and centers.
- Sending the guest list to the editorial board of the journal for review and approval by the reviewers.
- Sending articles to the reviewers and following up to receive the subsequent comments and criticism by the partner center.
- Making decisions on articles based on the opinion of the reviewers by the guest editorial board
- Sending the opinion of the reviewers to the authors and requesting correction for the articles that needed correction.
- Reviewing the corrections of the articles by one of the reviewers and presenting a written opinion on the implementation of the corrections
- The final decision on the articles to be published in the special issue of the journal by the editorial board
- Sending articles along with evaluation forms, final evaluation of corrective articles and proceedings of the guest editorial board to the journal office in Tehran
- The decision of the editorial board of the journal about the articles and the finalization of the articles based on the criteria for submitting and the quality of the article in a special issue.
